Annual Conference

Each year in the fall the ACL offers a multi-day conference hosted by a member consortium. The conference features inspiring conversation and networking, presentations and workshops. It is a great opportunity to learn from others doing collaborative work in higher education and to share the good work your own organization is doing. 

This year's conference will take place in Washington DC on October 21-23, 2025, hosted by the American Council on Education (ACE) and the Association of Governing Boards of Universities and Colleges (AGB).

Conference Overview

The conference will be hosted at the ACE Offices (One Dupont Circle) and will start with a workshop on the art and impact of storytelling open to all conference participants Tuesday, October 21, 1:30-3:30pm. An official opening and welcome will take place at 4:00pm. The conference ends with lunch on Thursday, October 23.

 

Accommodations

A room block is available at the The Royal Sonesta, Dupont Circle, 2121 P Street NW, Washington, D.C. 20037.

There is a discounted conference pricing of $279 per night for the nights of 10/20, 10/21, and 10/22. The room block will be available through September 29th, 5pm but may fill up prior to that date so you'll want to book your accommodations early. Click on this link to make your reservation.

Parking

Valet parking is available to overnight guests. Day parking is $21/day. The overnight parking rate is $61 per day.

Registration


Conference Registration for ACL Members: $500 through September 9; $550 after September 9

Conference Registration for Non-Members: $750 through September 9; $800 after September 9

Early registration for the conference closes September 9, so take advantage of the discounted rate.

Registration will open in early June.

Refund and Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellation requests must be sent by email to admin@national-acl.org.
  • Refunds of the full registration amount, minus any credit card or other transaction fees, will be provided for cancellations received on or before September 20, 2025. Please allow 10–15 business days after acknowledgment of your request for your refund to be processed.
  • ACL cannot provide any refund for cancellations received after September 20, 2025.
  • You may transfer your registration to a colleague from the same consortium or institution anytime. To do so, the original registrant should submit a request via email to admin@national-acl.org.
